Well, today is the day- Legacy Comix is one-years-old! On this day, one year ago, the company was founded. It has been a ride. That is saying it lightly.
Since their inception, they have released seven physical comics, with physical and digital variants, been on over three dozen podcasts and garnered local and international television and radio coverage and got a Kickstarter campaign 301% funded.
“This is just the beginning,” Legacy Comix owner Patrick Hickey Jr. said. “Year one was about surviving, seeing who wanted to be here and to run with the people who proved themselves. We have a team that can indeed run with anyone and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished thus far. But with the Summer books out and the Fall books on their way, the pressure, expectations and opportunities are coming. I’m excited to see where we are next year at this time.”
Hickey also acknowledged the company’s readers for their support and commitment to making the team accountable.
“We have amazing readers that have truly embraced us,” Hickey said. “We started this company to change comics and together, with this amazing community, I feel as if we’re on our way. In the end, that’s what we want- to deliver the type of experiences our readers crave and to get them excited about comics again. Thanks to them, year one was a massive success.”
