Legacy Comix is proud to announce their first ever Kickstarter campaign has come to an end, with the publisher earning over three times their initial ask of $2,500, finishing with $7,529 in total pledges.

Adding a Dracula prequel to the reward tiers, as well as a hologram cover for John Svedese’s Athos, inked by Marvel’s Lebeau Underwood, a motion Condrey motion comic voiced by series creator Patrick Hickey Jr. and variant covers for Afrim Gjonbalaj’s The Legend of the Night Owl, The Job and KROOM, the team is confident they did everything they could to deliver and experience to their readers.

Add in a Sarita one-shot, written by Hickey and illustrated by Joshua Adams announced for the Spring and the team is excited about the future.

That’s not where the good news ends though. If you missed the Kickstarter, don’t worry!

“I’ve been a part of a few Kickstarters, but nothing ever like this,” Legacy Comix Editor-In-Chief Patrick Hickey Jr. said. “This was a marathon. But we delivered what we said and we were rewarded by a wild amount of support. We can’t ever thank every person who pledged enough.”

Legacy Comix is proud to announce that the Steve Cange KROOM variant and the upcoming Dracula ashcan by Cange and Chris McAuley have now been unlocked, prior to the $7,000 and $8,000 stretch goals.

“This is our way of thanking everyone who has pledged and not forcing them to wait to get the comics that they want,” Legacy Comix Editor-In-Chief Patrick Hickey Jr. said. “With about a week to go before the end of the Kickstarter, it gives everyone the time they need to make sure they get exactly what they want from us.”

In addition, two new reward tiers have been announced:

1: Blood is the Life: This reward tier features the Chris McAuley and Steve Cange Dracula prequel ashcan, signed by the artist. It will retail for 15$

*It will also be available as an add-on to existing pledges for the same price.

2: All Our Blood and Bones: This tier will contain all six of our physical and digital comics and all four variants of KROOM, The Job, The Legend of The Night Owl and the holo version of Athos, as well as the remastered digital versions of Condrey, an Elite Legacy T-shirt , the Legacy Comix trading card set and the Condrey 0 motion comic. That tier will retail for $200.

*The Steve Cange #0 KROOM variant will be available as an add-on for pledges as well, signed by KROOM comic book creator Patrick Hickey Jr., artist John Svedese and Steve Cange. It will retail for $20.

*Note

Adding these rewards to your current pledge requires you to cancel your initial pledge and then re-pledge and add the new add-ons you’d like to purchase. For new pledges, you simply pledge what you like and add whichever add-ons you want.

The variant will be made available via the publisher’s Kickstarter once the $7,000 stretch goal has been met.

“To me, this may be the best cover we’ve done,” KROOM comic creator and Legacy Comix Editor-In-Chief Patrick Hickey Jr. said. “Having someone as talented as Steve onboard is an important step for us. I hope this is just the beginning of our working relationship.”

Legacy Comix is proud to announce the Valentin Quinones variant for Patrick Hickey Jr’s Professional Wrestling noir, The Job.

The work is a special one for the company, as it is not only the publication’s first variant cover, but also Quinones’ first published work in the industry.

“When John and I had the idea to do a variant for The Job, I immediately pitched Valentin,” Legacy Comix Editor-In-Chief Patrick Hickey Jr. said. “His love of professional wrestling is immense and it lends itself to the type of detail we needed for this cover to truly shine. I’m in love with how this turned out.”
