Comics are special. For every Bill Maher out there that thinks they’re kid’s stuff, there’s a thousand more out there that acknowledge them as so much more than words and pictures. Make no mistake, comic books are today what the Greek myths were to millions, thousands of years ago. Epic. Cross-generational. Forever. Could you imagine a world without your favorite character? 

For is here at Legacy Comix, it’s more than one character. Sure, there are some we’ve grown out of over the years, but there are more that we connect to certain periods of my life, the same way we do, friends, family and even lovers. They’ve gotten us through terrible times and make great times even better. They’ve changed the way we think about the world and people as well.

That was why when John Christopher Svedese and Patrick Hickey Jr. decided to start Legacy Comix, we knew we had to make sure we realized why we were doing this. After hours upon hours of texts, Facebook and Instagram messages and phone calls, we came to series of conclusions- the cornerstones that we wanted to abide by to make sure our company- and everyone associated with us, thrived.

Here they are:

We Will Promote Our Team: Our writers and artists won’t be separated. They won’t be praised for their individual work. They’ll be treated fairly, equally and respected. They’ll also be actively promoted on Social Media and showcased to the world because we believe in them.

We Will Tell Engaging Stories: Our team is compromised of lifers. Fans and readers of the industry that know the stories that have mystified us all. We will never take the easy way out when telling a story. We will strive to be unique, different and special.

We Will Make Our Comics Accessible: We will do whatever it takes to get our comics into your hands, on your preferred digital and physical storefront.

We Will Be There For Our Readers: We will answer questions on social media, We will answer Tweets. We will make sure our readers know that we appreciate them.

We Will Create Engaging Merchandise: We know that comic book fans always want more. We’ll make sure you can share your love of our products in a variety of different ways.

We Will Make Ourselves Available: The members of our team are married, have children and have families that depend on them. They will still make sure to appear at signings, on podcasts and other events regularly.

We Will Deliver: When we say a comic is coming out, it will. Deadlines matter to us. We know being in your pulls means something and we won’t let you down.
